Union Place, completed in August 2005, is a 30 unit affordable rental community located in Missoula, Montana. The two and three bedroom units are generous in size and come in both townhouse and walkup style floor plans. The community room features a screening room with theater style seating and a 100-inch projector screen for resident use. Alex Burkhalter was a key member of the development team. The financing for this affordable rental property was provided by Montana Board of Housing, Sun America Affordable Housing Partners and US Bank. In 2022 the property was sold, with deed restrictions in place, and Alex’s involvement came to an end.
Union Place II, completed in June 2007, is a 33 unit affordable rental community for families and is located adjacent to Union Place in Missoula, Montana. The property is located near shopping, job opportunities and on a bus route with service every 30 minutes. The property shares community facilities with Union Place. In 2022 the property was sold, with deed restrictions in place, and Alex’s involvement came to an end.
